Location

The "Terra Nova" guest house is located in the outskirts of Brezoi, a town in the north of Valcea county, in the largest intra-carpatic depression known as Lovistei country (Terra Lovysth), at the confluence of the river Lotru, from where the valley of Lotru opens up.

To get here, one must go through the beautiful valley of the Olt river, following the E81 road, whether you come from Rm.Vâlcea of from Sibiu, then follow the pointer to Voineasa on route 7A, leaving behind the television relay that stands proud on mount Cozia. You can get also get here using the railway, the related station being called "Lotru".

Brezoi town is 33 km north of Rm.Vâlcea, 15 km north of Călimănesti-Căciulata and 66 km south of Sibiu, consisting of the villages Golotreni, Călinesti, Proieni, Valea lui Stan and Păscoaia, on the path to the Vidra ski resort, located approximatively 56km from our guest house.

After you have crossed the town of Brezoi, look for the "Voineasa" indicator, cross the village Valea lui Stan and enter Păscoaia, then, on the right side of route 7A, at the edge of the administrative territory of Brezoi, you will locate us near a crucifix and a mountain-spring fountain.

From Brezoi (first mentioned in the year 1549) you can access 8 mountain trails:

1. Turtudanul peak (644 m) - takes about 1 hour
2. Doabra Valley - Poiana Sulitei peak (1013 m) - takes about 3 hours
3. another 6 trails varying from 5 to 10 hours
